Encrypted on your device, stored in the EU
Secretomat remembers your passwords for you.
Enter them once, and Secretomat saves them and fills them in next time, on your computer and on your phone. You remember just one: your master password.
Free for now. Subscriptions are coming soon.
Security
Only you can see your passwords.
Secretomat is built so that nobody else can read your passwords. Not even us.
Encrypted on your device
Your passwords are encrypted before they leave your computer or phone. The key comes from your master password and stays with you.
We never see them
Only encrypted data reaches our server. We don’t have the key to open it, so neither does anyone who might get into the server.
Data in the EU
The server and the database are in Frankfurt. Your devices keep an encrypted copy too, so Secretomat works without a connection.
One password to remember
Your master password is the only one you need to remember. A long sentence works well. Your device never sends it anywhere, not even to us.
A recovery code and a backup person
We don’t know your master password, so we can’t reset it for you. Your recovery code gets your account back. And if something happens to you, a backup person you choose can reach your passwords.
Features
What Secretomat does
Everything you need to stop thinking about passwords.
Fills in for you
In your browser it spots the sign-in form and fills it in when you click. On iPhone it offers the password right where you sign in.
Remembers new passwords
When you sign in somewhere, it offers to save the password. When you sign up, it makes up a strong one and remembers it straight away.
Sharing with people
Share a password or a whole folder with anyone who uses Secretomat. For each person you decide whether they can change it or only see it.
Groups
A group is a few people who share some passwords: the Wi‑Fi at home, say, or the logins a whole team needs at work. An admin invites people and decides who sees which folders.
Bring your passwords
Move your passwords over from your browser or another password manager, such as Bitwarden, 1Password or LastPass. Nothing gets overwritten.
One-time link
Send a password by link, even to someone without Secretomat. You choose how long the link lasts and how many times it opens, even just once.
Attachments
Attach a file to a password, like a scanned contract or backup codes. It is encrypted just like the password.
Verification codes
Secretomat keeps two-step verification codes right next to the password. One click copies them.
Works offline
Your passwords are on your device even without the internet. Changes are saved to the server once you’re back online.

Questions
What people ask
Didn’t find your answer? Write to vaclav@matouch.cz.
Can I leave and take my passwords with me?
Yes, any time. In Settings you export your passwords to an encrypted file, or to a CSV or JSON file that another password manager can read. Then you can delete your account right in the app.
Where is my data?
Encrypted, on a server in the European Union, in Frankfurt, and on your devices so that Secretomat works without a connection. The privacy policy says exactly what leaves your device.
Who is behind Secretomat?
Secretomat is built and run by Václav Matouch. Send questions and feedback to vaclav@matouch.cz.
What if I forget my master password?
Your recovery code, which you get when you sign up, gets your account back. We can’t reset your master password because we don’t know it, so keep the code somewhere other than your computer, printed out for example.
Try it with your own passwords.
Bring your passwords over and watch Secretomat fill them in for you.
